Do you need to delete the company form Iris Paye Master, but the Delete\Undelete menu option is greyed out? Follow the step by step instructions to delete the company and start again fresh or recover from a backup. I came across this problem when trying to delete the company after recovering the wrong backup file, after the backup was complete I couldn't delete or move the company I was locked out, this fix is really simple. Step 1. You will need to show all hidden files and folders, to do this open My Documents, and select tools from the menu at the top of the window, if the menu isn't there then press the Alt key on the keyboard, when the tools menu is open click folder options...
Step 2. When the Folder Options windows has opened find, show hidden files, folders, and drives and select it, click apply and then OK and close the Folder Options window.
Step 3. Navigate to the following folder, Click start >> Computer >> Local Disk C: >> Program Data >> Iris Software LTD, right click the central.dat folder and select rename, and rename it to central.old. Step 4. Now open your Iris Paye Master software, you can now start again with a new company or recover from a backup. Share this post
